A Farmers’ Oriented Training Programme on “Farm Mechanization” will be held on 14.10.2026 for the benefit of farmers in Cuddalore District at KVK, Vriddhachalam, Cuddalore District.

The training programme will be coordinated by Er. C. Christal Goret, Assistant Professor, IMTI, Thuvakudi, Trichy.

During the programme, KVK and Government officials will explain the benefits of adopting farm mechanization, which saves time, cost and labour, increases productivity and improves post-harvest management.

They will also explain the farmer-centric services offered through the Agricultural Engineering Department website (e-Vadagai app, Uzhavan app and DBT portal), the need for soil and water testing to achieve high yields, the benefits of micro-irrigation in agriculture, the maintenance of farm machinery, and rainwater harvesting at farm level.
